The Weekday School operates September through May, 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Class ratios are 4 students to 1 teacher for one-year-olds, 5 students to 1 teacher for two-year-olds, 7 students to 1 teacher for three-year-olds, and 8 students to 1 teacher for four-year-olds. The transitional Kindergarten (TK) class also will have 8 children with 1 teacher.
Some activities your child will experience include:
- A variety of learning centers
- Group music activities
- Unstructured, process-oriented art
- Daily outside activities on the playground (weather permitting)
- Rainy day play in the gymnasium
- Lunchtime together in the classroom
- Storytellers from the Morrison Library
- In-house special programs for all ages
- PlaySpanish lessons for the three- and four-year-old classes and TK classes
- Sensory tables that change often
- Manipulatives for developing find motor skills

Our TK program will still be a play-based, developmentally-appropriate program, just as in our other classes. TK classes will feature:
- Learning centers
- More structured, teacher-directed learning experiences
- Higher expectations of being able to sit
- More group time
- More curriculum-based learning with student materials, such as:
- Handwriting Without Tears
- Math Their Way
- Reading readiness program, such as Lippincott's "Getting Read to Read, Write, and Listen" or McGraw-Hill's "Little Treasures" program
